Description of the job

Job Title: Crisis Recovery Worker - Sheffield Support Hub

We have available: 18 hours per week

Service open hours: Mon - Fri 6pm to 12am and Weekends 2pm - 12am

Salary: £25,958 per annum, with progression to £28,662 per annum PRO-RATA

Location: Sheffield Support Hub, 44 Bank Street, Sheffield, S1 2DS

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to work in our out of hours service in Sheffield!

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in crisis, helping to assess their needs, provide emotional guidance, and promote mental health and wellbeing. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with clients experiencing mental health challenges, contributing to a supportive team, and working in partnership with local agencies and external networks.

About you

You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people. You will have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills. This will include one to one engagement and facilitating group-based activities, sign posting and engaging people in mainstream provision.
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required for the role.
It is essential that you hold a Health and Social Care level 2 or level 3 and be willing to develop further as the role requires.
